|
Buffalo worm
(Alphitobius diaperinus)
Sometimes called the lesser mealworm, the larvae of this small, smooth-shelled beetle only attain around 10mm and are softer than regular and mini-mealworm and thus can be used for many dart frogs, newts & salamanders and other amphibia.

treefrogs and certain other amphibia. Adult weevils are approximately
4mm in size. Requires temperatures of 25°C+ to breed.
|

A relatively new livefood that must be kept bone-dry at temperatures
bewteen 32 and 45°C. Requires only a kitchen towel base,
wad of cotton wool and a constant supply of fresh fish flake/calcium
to multiply.
Adults are taken by larger Dendrobates while hatchling
firebrats are devoured by most Dendrobates.

0.5L tub)
Please note we will only send this out
in suitable weather or please purchase a heat

Crickets
|
Tropical
house cricket
(Gryllodes sigillatus)
We have sourced an excellent supplier of these insects.
The hatchlings and 1st instar sizes are perfect foods for newly-metamorphosed
and adult Dendrobates respectively. 1st instar are,
unlike most other suppliers, available in bulk bags.
Please note that during the winter months these crickets will
be sent at your own risk as they are far more susceptible
to cold than the black field crickets especially the larger instars! By
ordering these you are admitting liability if the crickets are
DOA.
